Home-cooked meals, light housekeeping, laundry, shopping and everyday errands.

Out and about

Cafés, parks, libraries, social clubs and appointments — staying active in your community.

The purpose of the role

A companion care worker's role is to provide time, company, practical help and everyday support. That might be preparing a home-cooked meal, prompting someone to take their own medication, some light cleaning, doing the shopping, walking the dog, a trip to a café, organising the diary, a walk together, a game of cards, a favourite programme — or simply sitting down with a cup of tea and having a conversation.

The emphasis is on companionship, independence, dignity, social connection and help with everyday life. If you need personal or clinical care, we can put you in touch with trusted private care workers.
