A companion care worker provides companionship, practical household support, social support, meal preparation, medication prompting and assistance with everyday activities โ helping you remain comfortable, independent, active and socially connected in your own home.
Meal Preparation & Food Support
Fresh, home-cooked food prepared the way you like it, with a tidy kitchen afterwards.
- Preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks
- Cooking fresh, nutritious meals to your preferences
- Simple meals and drinks throughout the day
- Making tea, coffee and juice, and encouraging regular drinks
- Helping with meal planning and creating shopping lists
- Preparing meals in advance where requested
- Checking food dates and disposing of out-of-date food
- Supporting your normal eating routine
- Cleaning the kitchen after preparing meals
- Washing dishes and loading or unloading the dishwasher
- Storing food appropriately and keeping preparation areas clean
Medication Prompting
Friendly reminders that help keep a medication routine on track โ prompting only, never administering.
